As of Oct. 31, the Department of Workforce Services has stated that due to the federal government shutdown, the department will not be able to issue SNAP payments in November as scheduled.

HOWEVER, while it was previously stated that EBT cards may not work, even if there is a balance on the card, the department stated this week that if you have a balance in your SNAP account from a prior month, you will be able to use your card to make purchases after Nov. 1.

The Paiute Indian Tribe of Utah recognizes these hardships and, although our resources are limited, we are committed to assisting families to the best of our ability.
