April has been a FourPoints Health custodian in the St. George clinic since August 2021. She is also a member of the Shivwits Band of Paiutes.

April currently lives on the Shivwits Reservation with her significant other, her 6-year-old daughter, three dogs, one cat, and chickens; however, she was born in Georgia and lived there almost 19 years before moving to Utah. In Georgia, she lived on an 8-acre farm, which she says gave her a great love for animals — something she tries to instill in her daughter as well.

April takes a lot of pride in her work. “My favorite part of my job is just coming into the clinic after everyone has left for the day to be able to clean it to the best of my ability so that it’s nice and clean for the employees and patients the next day.”

She also appreciates the flexibility of her job, which allows her to take her daughter to school every morning and offers a good work/life balance. When she isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with family, taking road trips to new places, binging new TV shows and movies, and photography.
