2025 Paiute Willow Basket Community Assessment

At the beginning of the year, the Paiute Indian Tribe of Utah partnered with Southern Utah University to conduct the Paiute Willow Basket Community Assessment. The purpose of the study was to gather and understand the contemporary experiences, needs, and aspirations of the Paiute Indian Tribe of Utah (PITU) in order to shape and weave future Tribal programs and services that promote holistic well-being and cultural sustainability. This study also examines the overall state of the PITU community in 2025 in comparison to 1968, providing a longitudinal measure of progress over time.

More than 25% of all eligible adult members from all five constituent Bands of PITU participated. For more information, including a one-sheet and results summary, click the button below.
