Tuition Waiver for Native American Students

July 29, 2022
The 16th annual Governor's Native American Summit took place this last week. During the summit, the current President of the University of Utah announced that Native American students who are enrolled members of one of Utah's eight federally recognized tribes will be eligible for a tuition waiver. Details on how the university will implement the scholarships are still being determined, however, the first scholarships will be awarded in Spring 2023. The Paiute Indian Tribe of Utah will continue to provide frequent updates to tribal members. We are optimistic this will enhance education opportunities for many of our members.
