The Paiute Indian Tribe of Utah and FourPoints Health offers a full complement of social service and family support programs to Tribal members, descendants, and qualifying affiliates. So far this year, the Family Services Department approved 90 Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), helping them with their power. The department is also providing childcare for 37 clients, has implemented the Welcome Baby program, which provides car seats and newborn supplies to program members, and is delivering 62 food boxes.
Looking ahead, the department will be assisting with the Fall Gathering (Nov. 22) and will continue to work with the PITU Native Youth program at events such as the Pool Party that took place in Washington earlier this month, as well as the upcoming event in Cedar City on Sept. 21.
