REMINDER: Used syringes and other sharps should not be thrown away in trash receptacles, bins, or dumpsters.
Please follow these steps for proper disposal:
- Place used needles and other sharps in a hard-plastic container, such as a milk jug or laundry detergent bottle. The best option is an FDA-cleared sharps disposal container, which is generally available through pharmacies, medical supply companies, health care providers, and online.
- Contact the Patient Care Team (435-586-1112) to pick up the container, or take them to a FourPoints Health Clinic, hospital, pharmacy, health department, medical waste facility, or police or fire station.
- TAKE THEM INSIDE. Do not just drop the container in a garbage can or dumpster.
