The Utah Department of Environmental Quality is warning residents that harmful algal blooms – or HABS – are present in several Utah waterbodies and can pose risks to humans, pets, and livestock.
The DEQ website has numerous photos of the different types of HABs, as well as an interactive map that includes information about what sorts of recreational activities are safe in each location.
