On Monday, Nov. 18, Mia Nizhoni was chosen as the first Utah Tech University Indigenous Student Ambassador!
Mia is a descendant of the Cedar Band. She is the daughter of Shelly Brown and Eric Kulick and is a first-generation student.
Mia received her associate degree from Utah Tech University last spring. She has held leadership roles in the Indigenous Student Organization at the university and is also 1st attendant for Miss Native Utah Tech, a member of the Multicultural Inclusion Student Association, and a photographer for the Sun News. Mia plans to receive her bachelor’s in communications with an emphasis in health care in 2026.
Mia was joined at last night’s pageant by Iron County royalty.
