[WILLIAM TABA] 50s, male, a Southern Paiute Native American from Utah, Taba escaped to Las Vegas to build a family and become a homicide detective. But post-divorce, Taba was forced to return to Utah, where his dark skin and non-LDS status meant taking a job at a tiny station, and in a subordinate position to a younger, less experienced detective (Pyre). Having grown up here, Bill seems well equipped to bear the racism and religious discrimination rampant in this exclusively LDS area, but faced with a gruesome double murder, and a struggling partner, Taba must assert himself—carefully stepping into a fatherly leadership role in order to teach, bolster and center his partner so that they can capture the killers before more blood is shed….SERIES REGULAR
Storyline: A quiet small town in Utah, founded by pioneers from the Church of Latter Day Saints, is rocked by a terrible murder. A suspect covered in blood is recognized to be a member of a well-known and noble Mormon family that hides plenty of secrets waiting to be uncovered…
